Sharyn Abbott -San Francisco; Belize, Central America MORE ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Sharyn Abbott created Ultimate Business University, "Converting Kids at Risk to Kids in Power," a non-profit, to support youth at risk as a legacy for her brother Tony. After her brother became terminally ill in 1998, she became his caregiver for ten years. During this time, she became aware of the number of children living on the street. UBU's mission is to provide a reliable alternative to incarceration for youth at risk in San Francisco and in Belize in Central America. UBU education systems transcend conventional methods to help those at risk discover their true genius. Sharyn has appeared on Oprah and Phil Donahue.  She has owned three entrepreneurial companies and spent the better part of 23 years as an entrepreneur. Sharyn founded Youth Enterprise in 1977; was on the Board of Directors for the American Diabetes Association and Easter Seals; and did fundraising for Rubicon Homes for abused children.  Sharyn is the author of seven books and three educational programs which are dedicated to leading entrepreneurs to success, Be Your Own Boss Guide, for anyone who has ever thought about starting a business.
