Registration
Powerful Women International would
not be possible without the many volunteer members who put their time and
energy into making our events and programs accessible for everyone in
the our Community. We are always in need of people who want to help
out--for one day or for an entire project. Volunteers are PWI Members who
reap the most benefit from their membership.
The benefits of volunteering at PWI include:
- A great way to meet people.
- The opportunity to make a difference!
- Attend our events at a discount.
- Have your wildest dreams come true for
you!
Below are some ways
that you could spend your time assisting PWI:
EVENTS
 Volunteers
for this committee ensure that our events are properly and adequately
staffed. In addition to setup, management, and cleanup, volunteers will
be asked to assist in the following capacities:
- Ushers
- Sound System & PA Setup &
Operation
- Guest Registration and Management
- Pre-event and on-site Customer Service
FUNDRAISING
Involvement can range from membership growth, to event planning, to
presenting to parties interested in the growth and development of PWI.
- Event planning for fundraising events
- Grant writing
- Contact generation (Who do you know?)
- Bringing in new members and sponsors
MARKETING AND
PUBLICATIONS
This group handles the marketing and public relations on the
organization and its programs by assisting with newsletters, press
releases, and communicating with the media about upcoming events.
- Promoting events to your email list and on your social
networks
- Design and management of the website
- Writing/publication of the newsletter
- Distribution of the newsletter
- Event planning
- Distribution & follow up of press
releases to TV, Radio, newspapers, magazine companies
